Online pharmacy brand Medlife has launched a campaign called ‘Know your Doctors’ for Doctor’s Day. The campaign’s aim is to create awareness on the difference between various types of doctors and understanding who the right doctor is for different health problems.

The campaign went live on Medlife’s Facebook page to explain the differences between specialists who have some similarity in their role. The campaign depicts how many people do not know the basic difference between what different doctors do. For instance, they cannot differentiate between an obstetrician and a gynaecologist or a psychiatrist and a psychologist; and so on. The objective was to resolve this gap through interesting and educative infographics and animated videos.

Meera Iyer, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Medlife, said, “Medlife’s Doctor’s Day is an important step towards creating awareness among people about doctors and what they do. A lot of people are unaware of the basic differences between various medical specialities. Given the fact that we consult these specialists from time to time, we must also understand their work and perspective. Communication between a doctor and patient is a cornerstone for long-lasting trust between them – something that is also the need of the hour in India.”

As part of the campaign, Medlife is also requesting people who follow them on social media to convey their appreciation and thanks to their doctors and share their best experiences. Quotes from doctors too are being posted capturing crucial advice they wish their patients followed for the betterment of their health and overall wellbeing.
