Scaler School of Technology unveils ‘Indian Silicon Valley Challenge’ to motivate future tech heroes

Delhi: Scaler School of Technology (SST), a fully residential UG program in Computer Science by Scaler, announced the launch of the YouTube Series -Indian Silicon Valley Challenge, showcasing the innovative tech solutions developed by high school students from Class 11 and Class 12 across the nation. Designed to provide a platform for the country’s teen techies, the contest aimed to encourage and further fuel the spark of innovation in young minds. 

The Indian Silicon Valley Challenge was hosted by Iglipse Nova (Deepanshu Raj), and the jury panel consisted of YouTubers Love Babbar and Mohak Mangal along with Subhash Choudhary - Co-Founder and CTO of Dukaan and Anshuman Singh, Co-founder of Scaler.

The YouTube series on this challenge curated by SST delves into the winning pitches and the thought processes of the young techies behind their innovations. 

Bhavik Rathod, Head of Scaler School of Technology., said, “The Indian Silicon Valley Challenge has truly opened the doors for the next generation of techies. It is truly inspiring to see how these young minds are already displaying remarkable passion and determination, driven by the desire to create a meaningful impact in society through their innovation and hunger for success. Through this YouTube Series, we aim to showcase the true potential of these next-gen techies. We believe that their stories and innovations will serve as a powerful motivator for other talented tech enthusiasts, encouraging them to take that all-important first step towards converting their ideas into innovations that can shape the future.”

Choudhary, Co-founder and CTO of Dukaan and a judge on the Challenge, echoed this sentiment, “The young minds participating in the Challenge displayed exceptional talent and a deep understanding of real-world issues.  Their innovative solutions transcended industry boundaries, from national security to agriculture, underlining the immense power of technology to create positive change.”

The Challenge saw the following inventions - 

  1. Yogesh Kushwaha, a 12th-grader, showcased his invention—the EMP Drone - capable of remotely diffusing bombs. 

  2. Rehan Shah, an 11th-grade student, presented a cloud-based GPU service that tackles the prevalent GPU shortage. The service has the potential to democratise access to high-performance computing and revolutionise online advertising.

  3. Kavin Muthuselvan, a 12th-grader passionate about cybersecurity, showcased a robust authentication system - Syncseed - that utilises advanced technology to enhance online security.

  4. Ramdhan Lodha, an 18-year-old student, presented a solar-operated weed-killer machine. This device addresses farming challenges with sustainable innovation and offers a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to conventional farming practices.

  5. Shubham Rohatgi from Kota showcased his vision for creating 'Rise Up,' an app that will guide high school students towards their optimal career paths.

  6. Adnan, a 17-year-old student from Varanasi, proposed his project, VisionX. It involves creating smart glasses equipped with AI technology to aid visually impaired individuals in recognising objects and navigating their surroundings. 

The winner will earn a paid trip to Silicon Valley, California, USA, the heart of the global tech industry. During this trip, they will have the opportunity to visit the campuses of Apple and Google.
