BIG FM and Adani Group present ‘Story of Suraj’ to promote solar energy

The ‘Story of Suraj’ campaign combined radio, digital, and on-ground initiatives across 39 cities to showcase solar energy adoption and community engagement in India

New Delhi: BIG FM has collaborated with the Adani Group on the campaign ‘Story of Suraj’, an initiative highlighting the potential of solar energy. The initiative spanned 39 cities, integrating radio, digital, and on-ground activities to reach communities across India.

The first phase included a nationwide content roadblock on radio, with over 80 RJs producing more than 250 content pieces, reaching an estimated 2.91 crore listeners. The campaign was further amplified digitally, generating over 21 million impressions across BIG Live and the RJs’ social media platforms.

The on-ground component included the world’s first dual-city solar-powered live radio broadcast, with studios in Delhi and Pune operating entirely on solar energy. This effort was recognised by both the Asia Book of Records and India Book of Records.
