New Delhi: Instagram has introduced a microdrama series in India, part of its ‘Anyway’ campaign that began earlier this year. The initiative seeks to highlight creative expression among Gen Z, echoing the brand’s global positioning and product updates.

Titled Party of Two, the story follows two flatmates with different personalities and creative styles, illustrating how young people draw inspiration from everyday life. The series runs across seven episodes, featuring actors and creators Nidhi Bhanushali (@_ninosaur) and Sunakshi Grover (@sunakshigrover). It has been developed with creative agency Communique and directed by Samudra Sengupta and Gopikrishnan Nair.

Commenting on the release, Arun Srinivas, Country Director, Meta India, said:
“As Instagram turns 15 this year, we’re investing more in enabling creative expression than ever before. This includes launching new apps like Edits for video creatives, or features like Trials and Reposts. We hope the byte-sized nature of microdramas, hosted on reels, and combined with a storyline that appeals to Gen Z, encourages them to tap into their own everyday experiences and share them creatively on Instagram.”

The trailer for Party of Two was released today, with episodes scheduled to drop every alternate day from 4 September on @metaindia and @instagram.
