New Delhi: ITC Candyman has introduced Once Upon a Time by Candyman, a digital platform that allows parents to create personalised storybooks for children. The initiative uses artificial intelligence to integrate a child’s name and photo into pre-set illustrated tales, placing them in the role of the main character.
Accessible through the Candyman Club website, the platform offers a selection of stories designed to combine interactive engagement with traditional reading. Parents can customise the narratives so that children feature as protagonists, adding a personalised element to the storytelling experience.
Speaking on the launch, Anuj Bansal, Vice President and Head of Marketing, Chocolates, Coffee and Confectionery, Foods Division, ITC, said, “With ‘Once Upon a Time by Candyman’, our goal is to spark children’s imagination and make reading storybooks an exciting, interactive experience. Kids often see others playing the hero’s role, but this time the spotlight is on them and the story is all about their little adventures. By letting children see themselves as heroes of their own story, we hope to create lasting memories while inspiring a lifelong love for storytelling.”
According to the company, the platform has been designed to be user-friendly and secure, with the intention of offering families a more engaging storytime experience.
