New Delhi: JK Paper, in partnership with Curly Tales, has launched Sandese Aate Hai, a digital series that brings the nation closer to its soldiers through handwritten letters collected from across India.

The series explores what it takes to protect a country as vast and diverse as India, offering a rare glimpse into the daily lives, routines, and sacrifices of men and women in the Army, Air Force, and Navy.

The series rests on a simple yet powerful principle: gratitude should travel as far as duty does. By transforming letters from schools, colleges, families, and young Indians into living messages of respect, love, and pride, Sandese Aate Hai underscores that while the country sleeps peacefully, someone remains vigilant at the borders.

Kamiya Jani, Editor-in-Chief of Curly Tales, said, “We entered this world not as observers, but as Indians seeking understanding. This journey has been about honouring soldiers’ discipline, dedication, and unwavering commitment to protecting the nation.”

The series takes viewers to some of India’s most sensitive and strategic locations, including Suratgarh in Rajasthan, Fazilka in Punjab, Uri in Jammu and Kashmir, and Kibithu and Dichu in Arunachal Pradesh near the Indo-China border. It also visits Kaho, India’s first village, home to around 70 families, where patriotism is woven into daily life.

In restricted defence locations such as Krishna Ghati in Poonch and the Siachen Glacier, the series captures forward posts, artillery drills, armoured vehicles, anti-drone units, air defence systems, and the extreme conditions faced by soldiers. It also highlights the efforts of the Indian Air Force in delivering supplies to remote areas and features the experience of naval personnel aboard operational submarines.

Military veterans lend their perspectives to the series. Major General (Retd) GD Bakshi speaks about leadership shaped by personal loss, Colonel (Retd) Shivinder Pratap Singh Kamar shares insights on training and unseen missions, and Major (Retd) Gaurav Arya reflects on how military life changes individuals forever.

The series emphasises the emotional weight of handwritten letters. In a world dominated by instant digital communication, these letters, written on JK Paper, sourced from sustainably managed forests under JK Paper’s Agro-Social Farm Forestry Programme, carry profound meaning for soldiers. They are read carefully, saved, and cherished, reminding recipients that the nation remembers and supports them.

By combining patriotism, storytelling, and sustainability, Sandese Aate Hai reinforces the value of genuine expression and responsible choices. The series celebrates Indian values, inspires respect for the armed forces, and encourages young audiences to engage with the nation’s defenders meaningfully.

Sandese Aate Hai continues to unfold, with more seasons planned to explore untold stories and honour India’s soldiers, reminding the country of the courage, self-control, and quiet strength behind every uniform.
