New Delhi: Known for asking the tough questions and leading high-profile interviews, four of India’s most recognisable podcast and content personalities, Saurabh Dwivedi, Samdish, Kamiya Jani and Raj Shamani, will feature as guests on this week’s episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3.
The episode streams this Saturday, July 26, on Netflix.
Flipping the format, the episode sees the panellists become interviewees as they share behind-the-scenes stories and reflect on the quirks and challenges of their trade. Host Kapil Sharma sets the tone with a playful introduction: “Inn chaaro ne lagbhag har bade celebrity ka interview le liya hai, aur inn sabke wishlist mein ek common naam tha, toh socha ki chaaro ko ek saath mein hi bula loon!”
Known for navigating everything from political reporting to celebrity profiles, the guests recount a range of experiences from the field. Saurabh Dwivedi and Samdish discuss the unpredictable nature of on-ground interviews and the occasional risks involved.
Raj Shamani talks about his much-viewed interview with Vijay Mallya, revealing, for the first time, how it came to be. “It was my most coveted and longest interview to date,” he says. Kamiya Jani, meanwhile, reflects on how food, not controversy, has often been the best way to connect with celebrity guests.
The episode also includes improvised segments from the Kapil ensemble. Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda, as Sona and Mona, introduce a mock “investigative comedy” routine, while Sunil Grover’s Engineer Chumbak Mittal tries to recruit the podcasters to his fictional influencer fanbase.
