New Delhi: Aman Sharma, a digital content creator best known for his comedic alter ego “Khachra,” is gradually establishing a presence in the independent music scene. His latest track, ‘Khachra Gang’, has received more than 500,000 views on YouTube within eight days of release, and has been widely used in over 2,000 Instagram reels.

Sharma first gained recognition through short-form comic sketches on Instagram, where his exaggerated, satirical style found a wide audience. Over the past year, however, his content has evolved to include original music, particularly in the rap genre. His earlier single, ‘Khachre Hai Tabhi Toh Bachre Hai’, has surpassed 12 million views on YouTube, indicating growing engagement from viewers outside his original comedy audience.

His YouTube channel now features a mix of vlog-style content, scripted sketches, and music releases, pointing to a shift towards more diverse digital storytelling. While much of this content remains independently produced, Sharma has recently worked with small production teams reflecting a wider pattern of digital creators experimenting with music as a form of narrative.

“Singing and rapping have always been a part of who I am,” Sharma said in a recent statement. “It’s incredibly fulfilling to express this side of myself and receive so much love from my audience.”

With more than one million Instagram followers and approximately 450,000 YouTube subscribers, Sharma’s presence across digital platforms continues to grow. Observers suggest his transition into music mirrors a broader development among online creators, many of whom are diversifying their output as the lines between digital content, music, and entertainment increasingly blur.

The performance of Khachra Gang may signal further cross-platform projects from Sharma, as well as others navigating similar trajectories in India’s creator economy.
