New Delhi: Apple has announced the launch of Apple Creator Studio, a new subscription-based bundle that brings together its professional creative applications for video, music, imaging and productivity across Mac, iPad and iPhone.

Unveiled from Cupertino, Apple Creator Studio combines Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor and MainStage, alongside new intelligent features and premium content for Keynote, Pages and Numbers, with Freeform to follow later. The company said the suite is designed to support creators working across different formats and devices, while keeping processing largely on-device.

The subscription introduces several updates across Apple’s creative software. Final Cut Pro for Mac and iPad adds new tools such as Transcript Search, Visual Search and Beat Detection, allowing editors to locate clips faster, align edits to music and analyse footage using on-device AI models. The iPad version also gains Montage Maker, which automatically assembles edits from selected footage and supports reframing for different aspect ratios.

In music production, Logic Pro for Mac and iPad receives new AI-powered features including Synth Player, which generates electronic performances, and Chord ID, which converts audio or MIDI recordings into chord progressions. Apple has also expanded Logic Pro’s Sound Library with additional royalty-free loops and samples, and introduced natural language search for sounds on iPad.

For imaging, Pixelmator Pro is being made available on iPad for the first time, with a touch-optimised interface, Apple Pencil support and features such as Super Resolution, Auto Crop and advanced masking. The Mac and iPad versions also gain a new Warp tool for reshaping layers and creating mock-ups.

Apple Creator Studio also extends to productivity tools. Subscribers receive access to a new Content Hub within Keynote, Pages and Numbers, offering curated visuals, premium templates and themes. Additional intelligent features include image generation and editing using generative models from OpenAI, as well as automated layout suggestions, presenter notes generation in Keynote and pattern-based table filling in Numbers. Core versions of Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform remain free for all users.

Commenting on the launch, Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, said, “Apple Creator Studio is a great value that enables creators of all types to pursue their craft and grow their skills by providing easy access to the most powerful and intuitive tools for video editing, music making, creative imaging, and visual productivity, all levelled up with advanced intelligent tools to augment and accelerate workflows.”

Pricing and availability

Apple Creator Studio will be available on the App Store from January 28. In India, the subscription is priced at Rs 399 per month or Rs 3,999 per year, with a one-month free trial. College students and educators can subscribe at Rs 199 per month or Rs 1,999 per year. Family Sharing allows up to six members to access the suite.

Users may also continue to purchase Mac versions of the individual apps as one-time purchases through the Mac App Store. Free versions of Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform will remain pre-installed on new Apple devices.
