New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has launched an initiative to curb the growing trend of passengers filming reels and dance videos inside metro trains, citing safety concerns and passenger inconvenience.
The campaign, dubbed “No Reels on the Wheels,” urges commuters to prioritise travel over social media stunts, emphasising a safe and comfortable journey for all.

So next time Let’s not make reels or encourage them because a smooth, safe journey matters more than a few seconds of fame.#DelhiMetro pic.twitter.com/5v1PMV5Gil
In recent years, the Delhi Metro has become an unintended backdrop for viral social media content, with passengers recording dance routines, skits, and makeup tutorials in crowded coaches.
These activities have sparked complaints from fellow commuters, who report disruptions, safety hazards, and discomfort during their daily travels. The DMRC’s new campaign aims to address these issues head-on.
“Metro is for travel, not trends,” the DMRC stated in a recent post on X, encouraging passengers to refrain from filming inside trains. To spread the message, the corporation has installed posters across major metro stations with slogans like “No Reels on the Wheels” and “Commute Not Content.”
The initiative has gained traction on social media, with many praising the DMRC for prioritising passenger safety and comfort.
