New Delhi: Storytelling platform Humans of Bombay (HOB) is repositioning itself as a full-stack digital media company, as it looks to scale original IPs, build brand partnerships, and diversify its content formats. The move coincides with key leadership appointments.

Amit Sobti has joined the company as President, and Jasleen Kaur Gupta has been appointed Vice-President, Creatives & Delivery. Both were previously with Fork Media.

Sobti, who spent over a decade building media businesses, including a 12-year stint at Fork Media, will now oversee operations, revenue, and strategic partnerships at HOB.

Commenting on his move, Sobti said, “This move just felt right. I’ve spent years building brands and businesses, but HOB is different. It’s honest. It’s human. And in a world full of noise, that really matters. I’m excited to help shape what comes next, thoughtfully, and with purpose.”

Gupta, whose experience spans content, marketing, and talent IPs at companies like Myntra, 120 Media Collective, and Fork Media, will lead the creative vision and delivery at the platform.

“Much before joining HOB, I was a fan of their content. To be here now and have the opportunity to make an impact with life-changing storytelling and creative experiments is a chance to do what I do best—build. Bigger, better, and be disruptive,” she said.

Founded by Karishma Mehta, Humans of Bombay built its identity on real-life narratives and social storytelling. With this strategic evolution, the platform aims to expand into immersive formats and proprietary IPs, while continuing to focus on culturally resonant storytelling.

“Stories change people. And people change the world,” said Mehta, Founder and CEO, explaining the platform’s broader vision. “We’re building storytelling ecosystems—formats and IPs designed to inspire, influence, and push India forward.”

The company also plans to double its current headcount as part of its expansion strategy, with an emphasis on talent density, cultural alignment, and long-term creative scale.
