New Delhi: Instagram has unveiled a feature that allows creators to link multiple Reels into a cohesive series, streamlining content discovery and boosting viewer engagement.
The update enables creators to connect related Reels, making it easier for audiences to follow multi-part stories or themed content without scrolling or searching for subsequent parts.
This new capability, already a staple on rival platform TikTok, responds to long-standing requests from Instagram’s creator community.
Once linked, a “Watch Part 2” or “Next” button appears at the bottom left of the Reel, guiding viewers seamlessly to the next video in the sequence.
Creators producing serialised content, such as multi-part tutorials, episodic vlogs, or themed series like festive recipes, can now organise their Reels into structured collections.
A creator sharing a travel vlog can link multiple Reels to guide viewers through a city tour, while a fitness influencer can group workout tutorials for easy access.
However, the feature has limitations. Subscriber-only Reels and those shared with close friends cannot be linked, and the functionality is currently restricted to Reels, with no option to connect to other Instagram formats like Stories or feed posts.
