New Delhi: The internet has a new fixation, a Pakistani couple whose short Instagram reels featuring a simple yet endearing exchange, “Nadia” and “jee,” have taken social media by storm.
What began as a series of playful clips between husband and wife has now evolved into one of the most recognisable meme formats online. The reels, originally shared by Instagram user Achu Don, follow a repetitive but oddly addictive formula.
Each video begins with the husband calling out, “Nadia,” followed by her calm and unbothered reply, “jee.” The husband then continues with lines such as, “Meri soni suhani,” or “Meri baggo,” to which Nadia simply responds again. “jee.”
The charm lies in the rhythm and restraint. His teasing energy contrasts perfectly with her steady responses, creating a dynamic that viewers found irresistibly funny. Within days, the “Nadia Jee” catchphrase had spread across social media, inspiring memes, remixes, and countless parodies.
The line “Nadia, meri soni suhani, meri baggo, meri bulbul, theek hain”, followed each time by her signature “jee”, has now entered the internet’s growing lexicon of pop culture soundbites.
The short clips have amassed millions of views and countless reposts across Instagram and X, with even celebrities joining the fun. Indian cricketer Arshdeep Singh was among those who recreated the viral format, cementing its cross-border appeal.
However, as the videos gained traction, intrigue deepened. Pakistani media reports began questioning the identity of “Nadia” after screenshots surfaced suggesting that the person behind the name might actually be a man named Nadir.
Older images purportedly showing the same individual in masculine attire circulated online, prompting speculation about the authenticity of the viral couple’s backstory.
