This experiment, currently exclusive to a select group of creators in the United States, introduces a sound wave icon in the comment section where creators can record and post voice responses.
The feature is accessible only through the YouTube iOS app for creators in the test group, and while they can only leave voice replies on their own videos, all viewers can interact with these audio comments. YouTube hopes that this new form of interaction will lead to "more meaningful relationships" between creators and viewers.
Although there's no confirmation yet on when or if this feature will roll out globally, the feedback collected during this phase will heavily influence its future. This initiative comes as YouTube continues to explore ways to enhance engagement and community building on the platform.
