Bajaj Allianz Life recently launched a video, #BewareOfFraudCalls, to raise awareness about fraudulent calls. The video shows how fraudsters work, and make customers share confidential details about their life insurance policies, and may even get their money, derailing one’s #LifeGoals, which is the brand’s larger brand positioning.

Thousands of people in India inadvertently share valuable personal information with telephone scammers every month, and also lose money, ranging from a few hundred rupees to their life savings. Scammers outsmart people by saying anything to get people to reveal personal information such as bank account or insurance policy details. These callers are often very friendly by calling consumers by their first name, making small talk, and asking about one’s family, while some may claim to work for a company the consumer trusts or have taken products and services from.

Commenting on the initiative, Chandramohan Mehra, Chief Marketing Officer, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance, said, "Life Insurance industry has long witnessed consumers falling victim to fraudulent calls and making regrettable decisions. One of the most effective ways to make policyholders aware of such fraudulent acts is through engaging storytelling. As a responsible brand, we aim to drive awareness among consumers to be watchful of such fake calls that certainly impact their life goals."
