BuzzInContent Awards 2021, honouring India’s best content marketing initiatives, held on December 17, 2021, set high benchmarks in the Indian advertising and marketing space with over 500 LIVE concurrent audiences on YouTube and more than 4,000 overall LIVE viewership.

In its second year, the BuzzInContent Conversations and Awards were spread across four days from December 14 to 17 and streamed LIVE on digital and social properties of BestMediaInfo and BuzzInContent.

Each of the knowledge sessions under content conversations fetched significantly high viewership for their LIVE streaming on YouTube with viewership numbers between 1,100-1,700.

In terms of engagement, each LIVE streaming fetched 35%+ engagement rate.

Niraj Sharma, Co-founder and Editor-in-Chief, BuzzInContent.com, said, “With so many virtual events and awards happening every now and then, the challenge was to bring the audience for the LIVE streaming and then holding their attention for long. To bring the same thrill and charm of an on-ground award show to a virtual celebration is not easy. But beating all the odds was the BuzzInContent Awards 2021, which saw ground-breaking and never seen before response to a b2b event in A&M space. Such a response from our industry peers has only encouraged us to produce even a better show next year.”

The tightly produced one hour 20 minutes awards show was presented by India’s No.1 youth brand MTV and powered by leading Hindi news channel News Nation. Added the glamour quotient to the gala was its anchor Aparna Dixit, who is a celebrated actor in the Indian TV industry.

In an industry first, BuzzInContent.com also launched India’s first book on branded content written by semiotician Hamsini Shivakumar and her team at Leapfrog Strategy Consulting. The book “Branded Content: What’s culture got to do with it?” is now available to download here.

Selected through a complete online and transparent judging process, a total of 66 winners made the cut from over 300 entries from more than 80 entrant companies. Out of the total 20 Gold medals awarded, Network18, PHD India and Zee Ganga bagged three Gold each. There were 23 Silver and 23 Bronze awards given. The other big winners include Policybazaar, Interactive Avenues, Dream11, Perfetti Van Melle, Unacademy, Goodtimes, Columbia Pacific Communities.

Not just limiting itself to the awards, BuzzInContent.com also curated three knowledge sessions under BuzzInContent Conversations from December 14 to 16 in the run-up to the awards.

The panel discussions saw the coming together of India’s top content marketers from 14 brands, platforms and agencies to discuss the latest content marketing trends, insights into building successful long-term branded content IPs and how startups create cost-effective content strategies.

Akansha Srivastava, Co-founder and Editor, BuzzInContent.com, commented, “With BuzzInContent Awards, we endeavoured to give our audience near to “on-ground” gala experience. Therefore, we ensured a high production quality, brought in Aparna Dixit, who is a known face in the Indian TV industry, to anchor the show and tried our best that it doesn’t get boring for our viewers at any point in time. To maintain the credibility of the awards, we had kept stringent checks in the judging processes and brought in a diverse set of jury across categories. I am overjoyed with the industry feedback.”
