In an attempt to commemorate and honour the work of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, in 2017, the UN General Assembly had declared June 27 as the World MSME Day. This day serves as a reminder of how small businesses can achieve sustainable development goals, promote innovation, and support millions of people's livelihoods.

In the modern world where consumers want businesses to take a stand on social and political issues, branded content around human-interest and awareness generation has been the way forward for any brand. Brands are promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship and bravery that makes an MSME economically profitable and create an awareness about the schemes that they have in-store for the medium and small business owners.

Here are a few Indian brands and their campaigns that caught BuzzInContent.com’s attention on World MSME Day 2022:

  1. ICICI Lombard’s #SalaamMSME Campaign

In recognition of the MSME sector, ICICI Lombard created a multimedia campaign that emphasises on how MSMEs play a crucial role in the Indian economy and celebrates their tenacity. The main theme of the campaign revolves around recognising the MSME’s entrepreneurial energy and supplying them with complete risk management solutions.

ICICI Lombard has also launched a new service that would facilitate quicker claim settlement for MSMEs and start-ups in an effort to fill the requirement gap of MSME units and recognise their value.

Furthermore, as part of general insurer’s new service, the MSMEs will get the offer for settlement of their admissible property and marine claims up to Rs 5 lakh within ten working days of the claim survey.

  1. Tally Solution’s Always AweSME Campaign

To honour the unwavering spirit of MSMEs around the world, Tally Solutions developed a new campaign called "Always AweSME". While the film's plot highlights how one firm may influence customers' lives and how other businesses can boost the ecosystem as a whole, it also shows how a chain reaction of growth begins with one business taking the initial step toward realising its goals.

The company also launched the second edition of MSME Honours, which received over 2000 nominations globally and 97 winners were honoured in India. This 360-degree campaign plans to connect with and celebrate the spirit of MSMEs will continue its momentum all year round by featuring the winners of MSME Honours across different platforms like print and social media and through podcasts.

The film will be promoted across all the digital channels of Tally and its partner network with a vision to reach 1 million views for the brand film. The campaign is expected to garner 50 million plus reach overall.

  • myBillBook’s MSME Anthem- Tum Kamaal Ho

To honour MSMEs' contributions to India's growth narrative and to further the country's Aatmanirbhar Bharat objective, myBillBook, a GST billing and accounting software from the neo-banking start-up FloBiz, has released the MSME anthem ‘Tum Kamaal Ho’.

The song that went on air under the brand ambassador-ship of Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee reflects on the difficulties that MSMEs encounter in carrying out their daily tasks as well as the bravery and creativity they show in coming up with innovative solutions.

The four-minute anthem video captures the narrative of expressing confidence in MSMEs for influencing the nation's economy while showing glimpses of the hopes, aspirations, struggles, and indomitable spirit of India's MSMEs, including wholesalers, distributors, small-scale manufacturers, general stores, self-owned businesses, service providers, and retailers.

It also highlights the benefits that technology and digitalisation may have for the MSMEs and supports the cause of expanding MSMEs' market reach and company expansion by successfully assisting them in using cutting-edge digital and tech solutions for business acceleration.
