New Delhi: Anand Sweets and Savouries has been featured in Plate Pooja, Swiggy’s newly launched original series hosted by food personality Rocky Singh. The show highlights well-known food institutions across India, with a focus on their cultural and culinary contributions.
In the Bengaluru episode, Singh explores Anand Sweets’s traditional mithai range alongside its lesser-known savoury offerings. The segment also revisits the brand’s early adoption of Swiggy’s delivery platform, reflecting on its evolution from a legacy sweets shop to a broader food destination.
“This collaboration with Plate Pooja felt like a full-circle moment,” said Arvind Dadu, Managing Director, Anand Sweets. “We’ve been part of the Swiggy journey from its early days in Bengaluru and seeing our story come alive through Rocky’s lens was incredibly special. As someone who’s grown up in this business, from a 14-year-old behind the counter to leading the brand today, this was a reminder of how far we’ve come.
From traditional mithai to Purani Dilli chaats and now even Middle Eastern delicacies, Anand has always been about great food and greater memories. We’re grateful to Swiggy and Rocky for helping us share that story, with their signature energy, warmth, and love for Indian flavours.”
The episode also features Purani Dilli, Anand Sweets’s restaurant vertical, which offers North Indian street food in the heart of Bengaluru. The inclusion highlights the brand’s approach to preserving regional authenticity while operating in a different geographical and cultural context.
