New Delhi: Myntra has introduced ‘Myntra Mohalla’, a six-episode micro-drama series that captures the vibrancy, humour, and emotion of the Indian wedding season. Set in a lively Tier-2 neighbourhood, the series follows a group of residents preparing for a wedding in their mohalla, whose lives and wardrobes intersect in the lead-up to the celebrations.
The series highlights the different occasions in a wedding, from carnival-themed mehendi and fusion sangeet to the fairytale wedding itself, and how each moment calls for a distinct look. Featuring digital creators such as Yuvraj Dua, Chandni Bhabhda, Khushaal Pawaar, and Govind Menon, the micro-series blends fresh performances with everyday humour.
Speaking on the launch, Abhishek Gour, Senior Director, Marketing, Myntra, said, “The wedding season in India is more than an event, it’s an emotion that brings people together in celebration, style, and self-expression. Myntra Mohalla micro-series captures that spirit through endearing storytelling while highlighting how Myntra’s vast wedding collection makes wedding shopping fun, easy, affordable and effortless, ensuring everyone looks their best for every shaadi moment.”
Kushager Tuli, President, Tilt Brand Solutions, added, “At Tilt, we always try and break fresh ground with all our creative projects. And this time we’ve literally done a brand new format of a ‘micro drama’. Set against the backdrop of a small-town mohalla with an upcoming shaadi, these bite-sized, binge-worthy reels bring fashion, fun and festivity together, all with Myntra at its core. The idea was to take Myntra to fresh audiences in its core markets, all the while keying in brand cues organically and effortlessly.”
The micro-series unfolds as a light-hearted, character-driven comedy. It explores the quirks and emotions of mohalla residents, from family tensions to friendship banter, wardrobe worries, and unexpected love stories. In the opening episode, a sharp-witted daughter persuades her resistant father to join wedding preparations, using her own and her mother’s fashion choices to entice him.
Subsequent episodes feature a bachelor seeking a stylish “revenge look” at his ex-girlfriend’s wedding and a father undergoing a comedic transformation into a fashion-forward figure. The story culminates in a chaotic yet heartwarming finale where all characters converge at the wedding, their themed outfits reflecting individuality and community.
