Netflix India brings Squid Game to life with 19 creators in Mumbai fan event

Over 900 fans witnessed 19 top Indian creators and one lucky participant recreate games from Netflix’s Squid Game in a live taping held in Mumbai for Season 3

New Delhi: Netflix India has organised a large-scale fan experience in Mumbai to mark the release of the final season of Squid Game. The event featured a live recreation of games from the series, with participation from 19 prominent content creators and one selected fan. Over 900 attendees were present at the event, witnessing a live taping of the gameplay segment.

The list of creators included The Rebel Kid, Awez Darbar, Gurleen Pannu, Aakash Gupta, Kullu, Sourav Joshi, GamerFleet, Raj Grover, Urooj Ashfaq, Ashish Solanki, Techno Gamerz, Kashish Kapoor, Sakshi Shivdasani, Meghna Kaur, Shreya Kalra, Manish Kharage, Vishnu Kaushal, Aryan Kataria and Rishabh Jaiswal. They participated in what was described as an unscripted gameplay experience, engaging in games that mirrored scenes from the Netflix series.

Activities at the event included Red Light, Green Light, a game seen in the first season of Squid Game, as well as the Six-Legged Pentathlon from season two. Attendees were also introduced to a new game, Jump Rope, which is set to appear in the final season. The event featured crowd reactions and live commentary, with creators reportedly displaying high levels of competitiveness throughout.

According to Netflix, the occasion offered fans a real-world opportunity to engage with elements from the series in an immersive setting. “This wasn’t just Game Night. This was Squid Game IRL,” Netflix stated in its description of the event.

The event coincided with the release of Squid Game Season 3 on the streaming platform.
