New Delhi: Spykar, an Indian denim brand, has launched a new podcast series, It’s in Our Jeans/Genes, which explores stories of ambition, identity, and cultural pride. The series features conversations with Indians who are redefining personal and professional identities while staying rooted in tradition.

The debut episode spotlights Sujata and Taniya, the sisters behind Suta, a brand that has reimagined the saree for contemporary audiences and supported over 17,000 artisans across India. Their discussion highlights the blend of creativity, strategy, tradition, and innovation that defines their brand.

Speaking about the launch, Sanjay Vakharia, Co-founder and CEO of Spykar Lifestyles said, “At Spykar, fashion is about more than denim, it’s about identity and the stories that connect us. Through this podcast, we’re proud to feature the journey of Sujata and Taniya. They have beautifully represented the balance of heritage and modernity, and reflect the ambition of a new India that thinks global while staying true to its roots.”

On their appearance in the podcast, Sujata and Taniya said, “Suta has always been more than a clothing label to us, it’s about making sarees effortless, joyful, and relevant, while supporting the artisans who bring them to life. Being part of Spykar’s podcast feels special because it celebrates the same values we believe in: authenticity, storytelling, and the pride of taking Indian traditions to the world.”

The episode also featured a styling segment in which the Suta sisters paired denim with sarees, illustrating the podcast’s theme of combining traditional and modern forms of expression.

Future episodes are expected to feature voices from industries including technology, food, music, and start-ups, offering perspectives on entrepreneurship, creativity, and cultural identity. The podcast is available on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts, and other platforms, allowing audiences to follow conversations with India’s leading changemakers at their convenience.
