New Delhi: Faisal Shaikh, popularly known as Mr Faisu, has launched a new YouTube talk show, Garammm Masala with Faisu, which recently trended at number 7 on the platform. The format combines cooking and candid conversation, designed specifically for YouTube’s connected TV experience.
Garammm Masala with Faisu follows Shaikh’s appearance on Celebrity MasterChef, where he picked up culinary skills that now play a central role in the show’s concept. Each episode features Faisu preparing spicy dishes while engaging in informal conversations with guests from across entertainment and digital culture.
“After MasterChef, cooking became something I really loved and we wanted to make a show that let me share that,” says Faisu. “But it had to be fun, real, and something you would actually want to watch on YouTube. Garammm Masala with Faisu is exactly that, with great food, great guests, and no filters.”
The format leans into a snappy, short-form style with a runtime of around 15 minutes. According to the creators, it’s structured for quick engagement rather than traditional podcast pacing.
Sagar Gokhale, Co-founder at Qyuki Digital, notes, “We wanted to build a show that was truly native to YouTube. Garammm Masala with Faisu is not a slow, hour-long podcast. It is 15 minutes of fast cuts, playful editing, and maximum watchability. It is built for the platform, built for connected TVs, and it feels fresh. The growth in connected TV viewing on YouTube is real, and we designed this specifically to ride that wave with high retention, shareable moments, and a premium experience.”
The show is produced in partnership with Qyuki Digital, a content and talent network known for working closely with digital creators. New episodes are released weekly.
