New Delhi: Comedian Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent has quietly returned on a new platform, marking its comeback months after facing intense backlash and a prolonged pause.
The show, known for blending comedy with quirky talent and Raina’s unique mix of chess and humour, had initially taken off on YouTube. But things took a turn after a controversial remark by guest panelist Ranveer Allahbadia about a contestant’s parents sparked outrage.
The fallout led to police complaints against Allahbadia, Raina, and fellow panellists Apoorva Mukhija and Ashish Chanchlani. Eventually, the original channel went quiet.
But quietly and steadily, Raina appears to have rebooted. A recent Instagram reel shared by the comedian shows Aamir Khan casually beating him in a game of chess. The clip also features cricketers Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah, with Hardik Pandya.
The video mixes Raina’s known love for chess with star appearances and Vidit Gujrathi is also part of the reel.
Although the original channel hasn’t resumed uploads, India’s Got Latent has reappeared under a new banner, India’s Got Latent Clips.
