New Delhi: An Indian content creator based in the United States has disclosed that she earned close to Rs 40 lakh from brand partnerships during 2025. Shivee Chauhan, who is based in San Francisco and has more than 220,000 followers on Instagram, shared a detailed breakdown of her earnings through a social media post that later gained wide attention.

Chauhan’s content focuses on everyday aspects of life in the US, including skincare, food, travel, career experiences and parenting, presented through personal and relatable narratives for Indian audiences.

In the video accompanying the post, Chauhan wrote, “How much I made as a lifestyle content creator in 2025. These are brand partnerships totals only and do not include digital sales.”

According to the figures shared by Chauhan, her monthly earnings from brand partnerships varied through the year. She reported earning Rs 3.8 lakh in January, Rs 20,000 in February, Rs 5 lakh in March, Rs 3.8 lakh in April, Rs 5.26 lakh in May, Rs 2.6 lakh in June, Rs 3.3 lakh in July, Rs 5 lakh in August, Rs 1.8 lakh in September, Rs 2.1 lakh in October, Rs 3.7 lakh in November and Rs 3.5 lakh in December.

She also noted that her approach to content creation had not been driven by a focus on securing brand partnerships, adding that collaborations followed over time as her content developed.

As the post gained traction online, several users questioned how Chauhan was able to monetise her content while living in the US, given visa-related employment restrictions. In response, she clarified that she holds permanent residency, which permits her to earn income through social media collaborations.

Addressing queries on why her earnings were presented in Indian rupees, Chauhan said, “I answered elsewhere, I earn both in USD and INR, so to just keep the numbers simple. A 50-50 split is a good assumption.”

Chauhan added that she has been creating content for around five years and had earned approximately Rs 25 lakh across 2023 and 2024.
