Andhra Pradesh inks MoU for Creator Academy with global partners

New Delhi: The Government of Andhra Pradesh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tesseract, US, and YouTube Academy India to establish a Creator Academy in the State.

The agreement was formalised in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics, Nara Lokesh, according to the report.

The Creator Academy is set to function as a Centre of Excellence for creative content development. Google is expected to support the initiative by providing resources, technology, and expertise for curriculum design and training modules. Tesseract will be responsible for the physical infrastructure, overall management, and daily operations of the centre.

Teja Dharma, President of Tesseract US; Arjun Doraiswamy, Head of YouTube Academy India; and Katamneni Bhaskar, Secretary of the IT Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, signed the MoU during the event.

The initiative is designed to equip aspiring content creators with skills and tools to thrive in the dynamic digital content sector. It also seeks to drive innovation and support the growth of the creative economy at both state and national levels, as per the report.

According to the report, commenting on the partnership, Minister Nara Lokesh said, “The primary goal of the partnership is to empower young creators and nurture next-generation digital talent from Andhra Pradesh.”
