New Delhi: YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani has released the first behind-the-scenes (BTS) visuals from Ekaki, his upcoming horror-comedy web series and directorial debut.

The series marks a significant shift for Chanchlani, who is best known for short-form sketch content and has built a subscriber base of over 30 million on YouTube.

With Ekaki, he steps into long-form storytelling, taking on multiple roles, including director, writer, producer, and lead actor, under his production banner, ACV Studios.

The BTS images, shared on social media, offer a glimpse into the production process and visual tone of the series. Chanchlani described the shoot as emotionally intense, noting both creative highs and logistical challenges, particularly in his new role behind the camera.

Ekaki blends supernatural horror with comedic elements, a combination Chanchlani has hinted at in earlier teasers. The first-look poster, released earlier on Akshaya Tritiya, featured imagery suggestive of a suspense-driven narrative, accompanied by the tagline “You were never alone.”

The cast includes Akash Dodeja, Harsh Rane, Sidhant Sarfare, Shashank Shekhar, Rohit Sadhwani, and Grishim Nawani—frequent collaborators in Chanchlani’s previous digital content.

The project also marks the return of ACV Studios to long-form video production, with Ekaki slated for release on YouTube. The choice to remain on the platform aligns with Chanchlani’s digital-first approach, although the series represents a departure in format and tone from his usual content.

The BTS release follows a period of public scrutiny for Chanchlani, who was previously embroiled in controversy surrounding the India’s Got Latent show earlier this year.

An official release date for Ekaki has yet to be announced, though Chanchlani has hinted at early fan screenings ahead of its premiere.
