New Delhi: Content creator couple Chatori Rajani and her husband have come under fire on social media for continuing to post videos weeks after the death of their only son.

Some users accused them of behaving insensitively by appearing cheerful online. One commenter alleged that the couple were “enjoying in full swing” while their son had just passed away, while another described the husband as “overacting just for money.”

Others criticised them for not observing traditional mourning customs. A user wrote, “at least wait for 1 year till tht time there are so many rituals. they should not leave home till one year. really shocked.”

Suspicion was also voiced by some, who claimed the family were not telling the truth. One user suggested that the child may have been sent away to study and accused the couple of lying, adding that “everything is happening so smoothly since the first day, how is it possible... as if everything is scripted and pre planned.”

In response to the criticism, Rajani shared a note addressing both her grief and also defended her decision to continue content creation:

“Yes we are content creators, yes this is my full time job, would you people say the same if I was a doctor or teacher or banker or into any corporate job?? Haan hum dono apne chehre se dard hatha kar bina roye apne videos banate hai, kyunki we don't want sympathy and we try to encourage others who are in grief, to live…”

“I was a content creator and I will always be one, because my son loved his mumma doing it, because now u are all my family giving me that love which I need...”

In another post, she added, “Just because some of us carry ourselves gracefully, doesn't mean we are not in pain. It only means we've mastered the art of hiding the wound. Sometimes the brightest smile hides the deepest tears.”
