New Delhi: Meta has released a new update for its video editing app, Edits, introducing additional tools to enhance accessibility and streamline content creation, according to media reports.

The latest version adds several creative features, including still image animation, a Boomerang-style reverse play function, and more than 400 new sound effects. The update also introduces a redesigned captioning interface that allows users to view and edit entire transcript captions on a single screen, making the process quicker and more precise.

According to reports, the interface allows direct text corrections without navigating through captions line by line. The update is expected to support greater caption accuracy and improve accessibility for viewers.

In addition, the Edits app now includes a Lip Sync tool that enables users to upload a still image of a face and animate it to match a voice recording, expanding options for creative video storytelling.

The reverse play option, similar to Instagram’s Boomerang, provides users with the ability to replay video clips or specific elements in reverse, giving creators greater stylistic flexibility.
