New Delhi: Shailja Varghese has stepped down as Chief Content Officer (CCO) at Omnicom Media Group India.
Varghese joined Omnicom Media Group India in 2021 as Head of Content. She played a key role in building and integrating OMG Content, the group’s consolidated content practice that supports brands across agencies such as OMD and PHD with performance-led content and cross-platform storytelling.
Her exit comes at a time when Omnicom is in the middle of a major global restructuring following its $13-billion acquisition of Interpublic Group (IPG), which was completed on November 26, 2025.
With close to two decades of experience across television, digital and content strategy, Varghese has held leadership roles at ZEE5, Wavemaker SEA, National Geographic Channels, Discovery Communications, UTV and multiple content agencies across the Asia-Pacific region.
Her core strengths span branded entertainment and storytelling, content and revenue strategy, P&L and business growth, creative innovation, and integrated influencer and experiential marketing.
Beyond her corporate mandates, Varghese has maintained a parallel track as a creator and industry voice. Her podcast “Unstoppable Woman” has emerged as a platform for women’s empowerment.
Varghese is also a practising coach in mindfulness, breathwork, health and fitness, working with professionals and groups across India, Singapore and London.
She has collaborated with trainers and coaches to design corporate leadership programmes that integrate well-being with performance and leadership skills.
