New Delhi: Threads has rolled out a set of new features designed to give users greater control over their experience on the platform, including enhancements to tagged topics, reply settings, and content analytics.
Among the updates is a redesigned tagged topics feature. Internal analysis suggests that posts using a topic tag tend to receive more views compared to those that do not. The platform has indicated it is working on expanding the presence of topics across more parts of the app.
In a post on July 22, Threads announced improvements to its Insights dashboard, giving creators a clearer view of how their posts are performing and where they are being discovered.
Users can now tap on metrics within the dashboard to see a detailed breakdown. For instance, selecting the Interactions section reveals how users have engaged with a post, via likes, replies, quotes, and reposts. The Followers section now displays audience growth, including location data such as top cities and countries, as well as demographic details like age range and gender.
A new chart has also been added to help users compare post performance over time. This feature visualises trends in views and interactions over periods ranging from seven to 90 days.
Additionally, Threads now allows users to see where their content was discovered. Posts that meet eligibility criteria can also be recommended to users on other Meta platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, potentially increasing visibility beyond Threads itself.
