To educate investors about mutual funds, Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund has begun airing MF101, a podcast series, in association with BloombergQuint and IVM Podcasts from January 28.

MF101 has been created with the aim of covering all essential details pertaining to mutual funds, voiced through industry experts, sector specialists, and fund managers of Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund, over a 12-podcast series. Offering extensive guidance of the realm by taking listeners through different subjects such as debt funds, index funds, equity funds, balanced funds, and several others, MF101 is focused on establishing itself as a holistic manual on mutual fund investments.

This series is part of efforts the fund house is making to enable investors understand mutual funds and the different concepts of investing better. It provides access to valuable insights from important market voices, sector experts, and research analysts from the fund house.

The podcast aims to shed light on the fact that in mutual fund investing, there can never be a one-size-fits-all approach. Investors need to take into account their demographic profile, risk appetite, liquidity requirements, markets, government, and other factors related to small/mid-cap/large-cap stocks, and more. The overall outlook of the Indian economy and the current liquidity crunch, all of which form a part of the discussions, have been taken into account to explain to the listener the fundamentals of mutual fund investment from the most common perspective.

Renowned personal finance influencer Anupam Gupta leads the podcast sessions, wherein veterans and experts with years of experience in the mutual fund sector provide insights on relevant concepts such as debt funds and hybrid mutual funds, as well as small-cap and mid-cap funds. It delves into several other critical aspects such as the importance of asset allocation, static vs dynamic investing, and the like.

Anil Uniyal, CEO at BloombergQuint, said, “We hope listeners will gain valuable insights in mutual funds. Both Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund and BloombergQuint have always had their consumers’ best interests at heart and through the podcast, we also hope to become a one-stop destination for all things related to investment.”
