Diageo’s Black Dog Easy Evenings has partnered with leading comedians across India to launch a series of videos dipped in subtle, self-deprecating humour to bring out the brand message #SavourThePause, for a few years now.

The brand has hosted Black Dog Easy Evenings with leading comic artists and such as Kanan Gill, East India Comedy, Kenny Sebastian, Biswa Kalyan Rath among others, encouraging consumers across the country to take a break from their busy lives and #SavourThePause.

In these unprecedented times of coronavirus pandemic, they have partnered with Vir Das for a digital video extension, continuing the same concept and theme to engage with consumers online.

The video encourages one to #PauseWithVirDas while he unravels Shakespearean plays the millennial way as all of us #SavourThePause together.

Speaking about the initiative, Khushboo Benani, Content, Influencer Marketing and Brand Advocacy Head at Diageo India, said, “Right now there are so many people working tirelessly and selflessly to keep us safe while our job is to stay indoors. With ‘Paused with Vir Das’, we wanted to inspire people to savour this pause we are in right now and possibly do some of the things that we always wanted to but never had the time.”

Comedy with a pause brings more to the table – for all comic artists, taking a pause during their performance at the correct moment can give them a home run - The pause after the last punchline, waiting for the audience to react. A comic’s life is filled with pauses, they look forward to these pauses. Revel in them and Savour them.
