Aiming to catch eyeballs this Independence Day, brands went all out with their campaigns most of which had the nationalism and patriotism as their central theme, along with their role in making India a better place. 

Brands across categories also rolled out campaigns to create awareness about the need to be free from stereotypes and biases, especially those that have an impact on the social fabric of the country. has prepared a list of a few striking campaigns released this year on Independence Day:

Asian Paints


Asian Paints released a film which pays an ode to the ones who fought for our country so that all others could live and dream freely in their homes.

IDFC Mutual Fund


IDFC Mutual Fund celebrated the country’s ‘unity in diversity’ distinctively with their latest investor awareness film, titled #UnitedByInvestments’, this Independence Week. The film pays tribute to the diversity that defines the various investors across the country.

BPCL Nationwide Network


Bharat Petroleum joined the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ movement in the build-up to India’s 75th Independence Day, with employees hoisting the flag at its nationwide network of 3 refineries, 123 Installations and Depots, 54 LPG Bottling Plants, Lube Blending Plants and 56 Aviation Service Stations. Channel partners and their employees also joined this movement at more than 20,000 Fuel Stations and 6,213 LPG Distributors, where they also distributed flags to customers.

BPCL captured this spirit in a music video launched specifically for the occasion, where its employees are seen waving flags at several locations, on catchy music.



ARTH’s in-house team conceptualised and created the #Deshkirakhi campaign on the occasion of Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan to pay tribute to all the soldiers standing guard at our borders, making us feel protected and safe.

The campaign #Deshkirakhi captures the love with which these women create the beautiful Rakhis and packages them with care and finally dispatches them to be taken to the borders. The video unfolds a range of emotions in the viewer as it shows each Rakhi being created, packed with a personalised heartfelt letter and sweets for each recipient.

The personalised letter has the names of all the employees of ARTH and hence symbolically being sent from all 80 people working at ARTH as well as all those who created the rakhis.


#Daughter India

On the occasion of Independence Day, Sirona launched a WhatsApp Period Tracker and the “Daughter India” campaign.

The campaign urges Indians to make a shift in their perspective – ‘India is Not Our Mother, It’s our Daughter’.

Reliance General Insurance


Reliance General Insurance launched a jingle to celebrate #FreedomToCustomise in insurance, this Independence Day.

Its recently launched product Reliance Health Gain Policy gives its customers the freedom to choose and personalise their health policies as per their requirements.

Tata Tea Premium


Tata Tea Premium – ‘Desh Ki Chai’, launched the #DeshKaGarv campaign, to celebrate India’s glorious journey post-independence.

In line with the brand’s ethos of evoking national pride, the campaign spans a seven-decade journey capturing iconic moments and events which not only created history but also propelled India onto the world stage. To commemorate these milestones and let people ruminate on the country’s proud history, the brand has launched a limited-edition art-infused tea-set and tin pack collection, called the #DeshKaGarv collection as a part of the campaign.


The #DeshKaGarv tea-set collection has been curated in association with the Plated Project, an impact brand that strives to fight hunger crisis through art.

Himalaya BabyCare

Celebrating 75 years of independence, the new Himalaya BabyCare campaign pays tribute to all the Super Heroes of the nation. The brand launched a video giving audience a peek into the cultural diversity and how everyone comes together to celebrate the important milestone.

As a token of their appreciation and respect, Himalaya BabyCare has captured the priceless moments of babies in a room, thereby celebrating cultural diversity yet bonded by the power of love.

The video comes in a montage of sequences where the babies in their playful mood rhyme the national anthem of our nation and echo the tune of independence. It ends by wishing every Indian – ‘awaze hai anek phirbhi bhavna hai ek’.

Ceat Tyres


Ceat Tyres has released a video film #RidingHopeRidingChange with the emotional message of nation-building on the occasion of Independence Day.

Its latest campaign is showcased in the advertising film ‘Master Sahib’ which marked Independence Day with a message of hope.

EuroSafety Group


Euro Safety Group launched its new digital campaign #MaiAzaadHuKyunkiMaiSurakshitHu to celebrate the spirit of patriotism on India’s 75th Independence Day. The campaign is conceptualised and designed by the Group.

The digital film features the Euro Safety workers and shows freedom from fear: how a safe person feels free and how release comes from being safe.

Škoda Auto


Škoda Auto India released an inspiring short film “Free the Soch” or “Free the thinking”.

The concept of the film revolves around breaking stereotypes. Age and gender often hinder a person following their passions. Years of conditioning, social norms and hearsay build a mental block on their choices in life. The film plants a thought into the viewers’ minds in an attempt to overcome societal prejudices that limit their dreams. It is a 2-minute short film that features 4 characters who have overcome social limitations.



Upstox, launched a short-animated video centred around the theme of “Findependence” as part of their Independence Day campaign.

The campaign has been launched with a focus to build momentum and make India more financially independent, as per the company.
