Sejal Kumar marries childhood love Bharat Subramaniam in intimate Mussoorie wedding

New Delhi: Content creator Sejal Kumar has married her childhood love, Bharat Subramaniam. The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony held in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. The wedding celebrations, including the mehendi and haldi ceremonies, took place at JW Marriott Walnut Grove, Mussoorie, in the presence of close friends and family.

The official wedding photographs were shared by Sejal Kumar’s wedding photographer and offer a glimpse into the private mountain wedding. For the wedding ceremony, both Sejal and Bharat chose creations by designer Sabyasachi.

For the pheras, Sejal wore a Guldasta lehenga paired with a chand blouse, while Bharat complemented her look in an off-white Sabyasachi sherwani styled with a floral stole. For the reception in Mussoorie, Sejal opted for a gown by designers Gauri & Nainika.

For her Delhi reception, Sejal paid a personal tribute by wearing her mother’s 37-year-old brocade saree, originally purchased for Rs 900.

The couple’s wedding story is rooted in a long-standing connection. Sejal and Bharat were schoolmates in New Delhi from pre-primary through Class 12, though they barely interacted due to different social circles. Their first conversation reportedly took place years later at a family wedding.

Life took them in different directions, with Sejal moving to Mumbai and Bharat to the US. In 2019, a birthday notification on Facebook led to a renewed connection. The pandemic later brought them back to Delhi, where their relationship grew stronger.
