New Delhi: Social media creator Apoorva Mukhija, also known as Rebel Kid, has once again become the focus of online attention following a series of incidents involving her ex-boyfriend Utsav Dahiya and the recent fallout with fellow creators Sufi Motiwala and Rida Tharana.
Ex-boyfriend posts song amid breakup fallout
Dahiya, who dated Mukhija in early 2023 and publicly confirmed their breakup on January 31, 2023, recently posted a song called ‘Cute Little Red Flags’ dedicated to her, reportedly highlighting the personal difficulties he experienced after their split.
In a note accompanying the song, he criticised online behaviour and the misuse of influence, writing that attempting to “gain sympathy by fabricating lies or pushing false narratives just to make content and assassinate someone’s character online” was unacceptable.
Dahiya also reflected on his attempts to resolve issues privately, stating that when he reached out to Mukhija and her agency for support in dealing with online abuse, he was told he was “a nobody” and should feel fortunate to have dated her.
He concluded his note with a broader appeal for honesty, writing, “Toh tum chalao apna ghar kalesh se, but kisi ke baare mein jhoot bolna band karo. Baki logo ko life mein dhanke kaam karne do. Grow up, kid.”

Fans have engaged actively with the post, with some praising Dahiya for transforming personal experiences into a song, referring to him as a “true Swiftie.” While Mukhija herself has often described her life as resembling Taylor Swift’s narrative and identifies as a Swiftie, Dahiya’s release has drawn comparisons to Swift’s Reputation era, prompting discussion among fans about the parallels between his song and her persona.
Friendship fallout with Sufi Motiwala
Mukhija’s falling out with Sufi Motiwala, who became friends with her during the Amazon Prime reality show The Traitors, has also brought attention. The pair frequently collaborated on Instagram and YouTube content and appeared in fan-made reels celebrating their friendship. However, they recently stopped interacting publicly, avoiding tagging each other during a trip to Sydney for the filming of Wednesday 2.
On August 17, Motiwala addressed the situation on Instagram, stating, “NO MORE LIES. I wanted to be friends with Apoorva Mukhija, not the Rebel Kid. When there was no accountability for how I was being treated, I distanced myself. I even requested her to ask her audience to calm down because they were abusing me for no reason. Sadly, this person who called me her best friend has no concern for that or for the fact that I might be hurt. THAT is why I’m not friends with her anymore. Keep it cute, keep it moving.”
At the time of reporting, both Motiwala and Rida Tharana had unfollowed Mukhija on Instagram, further fuelling speculation about the status of her friendships within the creator community.
