Social media influencer Misha Agrawal dies

New Delhi: Content creator Misha Agrawal died on April 24, 2025, just two days before her 25th birthday. 

The news, confirmed by her family through an emotional statement on her official Instagram account, has left fans, friends, and fellow creators in shock and mourning.

Misha, born on April 26, 2000, in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, was celebrated for her witty humour, relatable content, and vibrant personality. With over 350,000 followers on Instagram and a YouTube channel, The Misha Agrawal Show, she carved a niche with her comedic skits, sarcastic rants, and candid takes on everyday life, including topics like dating, friendships, and family. Her videos, often garnering millions of views, resonated deeply with young audiences, earning her a loyal community.

The family’s statement, posted on April 25, read, “It is with a heavy heart that we share the heartbreaking news of Misha Agrawal’s passing. Thank you all for the love and support you showed her and her work. We are still trying to come to terms with this immense loss. Please keep her in your thoughts and continue to carry her spirit in your hearts.” The cause of her death has not been disclosed, prompting an outpouring of grief and speculation online.

Misha’s sister, Mukta Agrawal, addressed followers in the comments, writing, “Guys, please don’t panic. You deserve to know this news, which is why we’re sharing the update now. We’re not in a position to explain the hows and whys at the moment. Please take care!” 

Another sister, Ritu Agrawal, shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, marking what would have been Misha’s 25th birthday with, “Happiest Birthday mera bachcha,” alongside the memorial message.

The announcement sparked widespread disbelief, with many fans initially hoping it was a prank due to its timing near her birthday. Actress Parul Gulati commented, “Ideally it’s her birthday today… Please tell me this is something like she is reborn today… please…” Other creators, including Suhani Shah and Yahya Bootwala, expressed their shock and sorrow on social media.

Misha’s friend Meenakshi Bherwani posted an emotional Instagram Story, noting Misha’s online silence since April 4 and hinting at mental health struggles, stating, “She didn’t realise her life was bigger than whatever made her feel this way.” This led to unconfirmed speculation about suicide, though the family has not verified such claims.

Beyond her digital presence, Misha was an entrepreneur, founding Mish Cosmetics, a haircare brand focused on scalp health and hair loss solutions. A law graduate from Bishop Johnson School and College, she began creating content in 2017 as a way to combat loneliness, building a platform that made her feel “seen and valued.”

Misha’s passing has sparked conversations about the pressures faced by influencers, with some pointing to the hate comments she endured, such as remarks about her appearance.
