The Glendale Police stated that Hermosillo, who was not involved in the altercation, was struck after two drivers exchanged words at a red light in the Phoenix area near 51st Avenue and Camelback Road. One of the drivers fired a gun in a random direction, hitting Hermosillo, who was seated in the passenger seat of a car driven by her boyfriend. Her mother and four-year-old son were also in the vehicle but were not injured, as per the report.
