New Delhi: Indian travel influencer Anunay Sood, 32, died from an accidental overdose involving fentanyl and alcohol, according to the Clark County medical examiner’s findings released this week.

Officials said Sood’s cause of death was “combined ethanol and fentanyl toxicity”, with the manner of death classified as accidental.

He was found unresponsive on November 4, 2025, in a room at Wynn Las Vegas, where he was staying during his trip to the city.

A Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department report, cited in US media coverage, said Sood was with his fiancée and another woman in the early hours of the day he died.

The report stated they were seeking narcotics and obtained what they believed was cocaine from a man on the casino floor before returning to the room.

Police said the women later woke up and found Sood unresponsive, following which emergency services were called. Despite CPR and multiple doses of naloxone administered by first responders, he was pronounced dead at 7.23 am, the report said.

Investigators recovered suspected narcotics paraphernalia from the room, and there were no immediate signs of foul play, according to the police account referenced in the reports.
