New Delhi: Probus, an insurtech company, has launched ‘Second Innings – Stories of Resilience,’ a podcast series that explores the financial struggles of accomplished individuals and their journey to stability.
The series focuses on the financial challenges behind success stories.
The debut episode features athlete Parag Patil, a veteran of the 2010 International Veterans’ Athletics Championship, where he secured three medals for India. Despite his achievements, Patil faced persistent financial hurdles.
Upcoming episodes will continue to feature similar narratives.
Rakesh Goyal, Director, Probus, said, “In India, an athlete's journey usually begins with challenges, not opportunity. Meaningful assistance arrives only after they have achieved something meaningful on their own. Patil’s story is just one of many that illustrate this broader reality. However, the need for support is greatest at the beginning—at which strict training, psychological encouragement, financial stability, and access to proper nutrition and equipment are critical.”
He added, “At Probus, we recognise this particular gap and have taken a proactive step to address it. Through our initiative, we are committed to ensuring that aspiring athletes – including those among our employees’ children, receive the necessary resources early on—whether that is for training costs, travel, equipment, or other things - so that they can bring real glory to India tomorrow.”
‘Second Innings – Stories of Resilience’ is streaming on YouTube, with highlights shared as short-form content on Instagram Reels and Shorts.
